China to face a demographic crisis

The title of this post might seem surprising. Indeed, we don't expect China having that kind of problems.

Generally, when we talk about demographic issues such as low birth-rates or ageing population, European countries come to mind.

But it turns out that the "one child policy" is actually shaking China's global equilibrium. This topic is one of the most important in Europe and governments are doing their best in order to find a solution. The debate is intense and different options are rising.

They often depend on where they come from in the sense that unfortunately, no consensus is found between right and left. Have a look at this article made by the economist. I have to say that I was quite surprised to read it but as usual with the economist, it is particularly well written and documented.

Surkld's point of view: it's a very good analysis that clearly explain how the company is doing to develop their business but in the same time taking care about environment and population.

Next year's Presidential campaign has started in France

A big debate arose in the last couple of days regarding the picture below that has been shot by a paparazzi in Paris.

You can recognize on the left Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn, head of the IMF and potential left-wing candidate in next year's election.

The debate is centered around the fact that Mr Strauss-Kahn is going out of a brand new Porsche that belongs to one of his friend and colleague.

In France in 2011, you can not apparently be a left-wing candidate and have wealthy acquaintances.. The right-wing directly used this picture against him... Once again, we can all wait for a real and interesting political debate.. Maybe in 2017...

Britain's Economy vs Pippa Middleton

The debate on the potential impact of the Royal Wedding on the economy has been intense.. We all remember that David Cameron, Britain's Prime, was not particularly delighted with the choice of the date. Economic figures versus dream and majesty.

This is a very interesting article by the Indian Times:

Profit & loss account of UK Royal Wedding - Economic Times

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion but I think that Pippa Middleton made it worth it! Dream and Majesty won indeed!
